The use of dangerous Chlorinated solvent such as 111Trichloro ethane, Carbon tetra chloride, Trichloroethylene (TCE), Perchloroethylene (PCE), are rated as "Hazardous Air Pollutants" or HAPs in the United States and many other countries.

US & many other countries have strictly restricted all Chlorinated solvents. In india Pollution Control Boards and Environmentalist are seriously discussing about said HAPs.
