Lithium Carbonate: Lithium carbonate (Li2CO3) is a chemical compound of lithium and carbonate. It is used as a mood stabilizer in psychiatric treatment of manic states and bipolar disorder.
Lithium Nitrate: Lithium nitrate is an oxidizing agent, which is used in the manufacture of fireworks and flares. It is deliquescent. Lithium Nitrate makes the flame turn bright red, when it is held up to a flame.
Lithium Chloride: Lithium chloride is hygroscopic and highly soluble in water, and is highly polar. The salt behaves as a fairly typical ionic compound. It is more soluble in polar organic solvents such as methanol and acetone than is sodium chloride or potassium chloride.
Lithium Hydroxide Paste: Lithium hydroxide is often used in breathing gas purification systems for spacecraft, submarines, and re breathers to remove carbon dioxide from exhaled gas by producing lithium carbonate and water. Lithium hydroxide (LiOH) is a corrosive alkali. It is the mixture of lithium and water, which is used for purification of gases and air as a heat transfer medium, as a storage-battery electrolyte, and as a catalyst for polymerization. It is also used in ceramics, manufacturing other lithium compounds, and etherification especially for lithium separate.
